Kansas City and Winter Quarters Temple

Here are some photos of the Kansas City, Missouri and Winter Quarters, Nebraska temples, courtesy of my daughter and son-in-law.  They recently attended a wedding at the Winter Quarters temple.  Of course, the Kansas City temple has not yet been dedicated.  Its construction was announced the same time as the Brigham City Temple and it will be dedicated on May 6th.

I think we can expect the dedication of the Brigham City temple to be announced very soon.

The similarities of the Kansas City and Brigham City temples are very apparent.  I suspect that the interior structure (steel and concrete) is identical and only the exterior panels are different.  The Kansas City temple also doesn't have the bump-outs on the corners, but we have seen that they are only for looks, not actual usable interior space.   That, of course, doesn't make it any less special or spiritual, but I bet it saves a bundle in the design work.

The remaining photos are of the Winter Quarters, Nebraska temple.
