Ogden Temple Reconstruction/Remodel

As many readers are probably aware, the Odgen temple is being remodeled/reconstructed.  I've heard everything from a facelift to a complete demolition, but so far, Moroni is still in place with his trumpet, having the everlasting gospel to preach to the four corners of the earth.

It's a bit sad to see the temple closed, since I enjoyed going there.  I was really hoping the Brigham City Temple would be completed before work was started on the Ogden Temple.  Anyway, I will also enjoy watching the progress on this temple.

  1. You don't have to rely on rumors; it's been announced exactly what they'll do: they'll strip down the temple until nothing but the steel skeleton remains, and then rebuild it entirely. So the rebuilt temple will have exactly the same dimensions as the old one, but the only parts that won't be completely new are the foundation, the steel, and the Angel Moroni statue.

You can see the before/after renderings at ldschurchtemples.com.

And by the way, thanks for these updates. The webcam's apparently down right now, so it's great to see these photos of the progress.
