Week 11

This week some survey stakes were visible along with some building materials, which I suppose are destined for footings and foundation work. I guess maybe I am too anxious to see some real progress! I can't wait to see some walls rising.

Brigham City Tabernacle

This is a little brochure that visitors to the Tabernacle receive as part of a tour. It has some interesting facts about the building, such as the fire that burned it to the ground in 1896 and then was rebuilt.

The Brigham City Temple and the Historic Tabernacle will mean as much to me as the Salt Lake City Temple and Tabernacle. They will be our own architectural diptych.

October 2010 Ensign

The October 2010 issue of the Ensign magazine has some great articles and pictures of temples. My favorite is the Celestial Room of the San Antonio, Texas Temple. Here is a link.

Week 10

These pictures were taken on Conference Sunday, October 3, 2010. One of the most beautiful fall days that I can remember. Sun, blue sky and warm temperatures.

I really couldn't see any visible progress this week. Of course, that doesn't mean that nothing was accomplished, only that it wasn't apparent to me.

Young Men from Forest Hills Ward

I took these young men to the temple construction site today as part of our lesson on temples. I hope they feel the spirit and are as enthusiastic as I am about it.

Week 9 from the Air

Still not much to see in this stage of the construction. The sun was just coming up this morning over the Wellsville Mountains and it was a bit hazy when my flying buddy, John took these pictures.

Logan, Utah LDS Temple at Night

These photos make the think of castles and knights, but the temple is certainly a light set on a hill.
