Wow! The spire is in place! It happened to be my day off, so I went to the temple and this is what I saw. The East spire was being lifted into place and welded permanently to the rest of the structure.
I was surprised at the number of other people also watching the construction. What a beautiful and unforgettable day!
A large crew was also pouring the roof of the South parking structure, so I took of bunch of photos of that. The temple really seems to be the center of the community and a place of wonder.

These are the "red" cables that will be tensioned after the concrete is cured to form one of the main beams that supports the roof of the South parking structure. |
Can you imagine finishing an acre of concrete? |
Another view of the tensioning cables for the South parking structure |
There were two concrete pumps and multiple mixers delivering concrete for the South parking structure. |
The hoist cables are slack and the spire is in its final location |
